A collaboration between Unnar Örn J. Auðarson, Ármann Agnarsson, Oddný Eir Ævarsdóttir, and Lesley Young resulting in a book of experimental image and text printing (offset), both text and image document the organic creative process behind an installation at SAFN in Reykjavík; for this project Unnar Örn created a greenhouse-like space, materials from the artist’s archive were gradually added to this space and were then left to decay; this space, the Museum of the Surface, “contains the architectural vernacular of: the greenhouse, the museum and the archive; yet avoids the intended function of all of them, behaving instead [like] an anomaly. It is a greenhouse without plants; a museum waiting for a collection and an archive that tolerates change.”

Hypnotic (monochromatic) prints of miscellaneous materials that underwent an organic transformation in this experimental approach to displaying and creating art, text in Icelandic and English, soft cover, 208 uncut and not numbered pages, 21 x 16 cm, ed/400, Reykjavík 2007
