Regular price €14,50
Published on the occasion of an exhibition about Downsbrough’s books at Neues Museum Weserburg in Bremen, with a text by Guy Schraenen:
“Nothing seems important in a book of Peter Downsbrough. Yet without violence he will cause language to explode, he will force the reader to get involved. He is among those who, in the line of Stéphane Mallarmé and El Lissitzky, will have taken the liberty to unsettle the space included between the front and the back cover of the book, while respecting its form and its traditional spirit. Just like certain artists of his generation he has chosen the book as a place for creation with the same importance as a physical space.”
Text in German and English, stapled, 21 x 21cm, 24 not numbered pages, Band 6 in the series ‘Sammlung der Künstlerbücher’, Bremen 1993
