“Reality and truth are not fixed concepts, they shift by the way we look at things. The meaning of an image tilts through its placement in a new sequence or through the (re)construction of an implied coherence. A whole is suggested, yet what we perceive as reality remains incomplete. Something is continually being withheld. For a moment, the continuity of time is suspended.
A stillness, a fixation of time, travels onward. That moment becomes the starting point of each next work. Each iteration changes through place and time: the light, the air, the acidity of the water and by the eating habits of the community.
Each carrier of the image exposes a unique relationship.
The photograph preserves and modifies its reference. What is allowed to remain, and what is quietly erased over.”
A series of photographs printed on translucent paper, the subjects of the photographs are not easily identifiable and it is rather the textural qualities of the images that jump out, contains 3 loose folded sheets (18,5 x 30,5 cm unfolded) with text and images.
Sewn and folded in half, 31,5 x 24,5 cm, signed and numbered/150, Arnhem 2026
