“Locational is a chapbook series chronicling residency projects. Many of these residencies involve working on an installation or a single print and this series is a way to make these projects more widely available. The exact texts are the same and are combined with scaled-down renderings of the image and pattern elements, or newly-created pattern areas that reflect the texts. Each chapbook comes in the same format with a new cover colour for each edition.”
This issue features a text by Bob Gregson reminiscing about the coal trains of Blackburn in the 50s and 60s, set against rhythmic graphics by David Armes, developed from a commission for BBC Radio Lancashire and found in Blackburn between January and March 2017.
