“The catalogue The Joy of Letraset shows works mostly from recent years, starting from when I acquired a couple of boxes with sheets of Letraset (rub-on lettering and signs). It altered my text-based practice into a more sculptural and object-oriented direction combined with monochrome, concrete framed images. My work is about language, (dis)function, general recognition and about nudging the factual and normative terms, presented to us in everyday life. The publication also shows a kind of work method with my photos of existing set-ups, something intermediate in the studio and different materials. The method and the resulting work hereby seem to flow more and more into each other.”
