The Prussian Desert

Andreasen, Kasper

Regular price €48,00

“The Prussian Desert is about a region north-east of Berlin called the Uckermark, a place people often visit in the summer looking for a retreat. In the winter, however, it is a desolate landscape of porous buildings and wild vegetation. The grainy, drawing-like images printed here present quasi-picturesque scenes and eerie depictions of a harsh environment."

A limited edition zine of b/w photographs of a ghostly-looking landscape with dead trees, graffiti-covered walls, sagging structures and all manner of detritus, comes with a signed riso-printed postcard (20,5 x 15 cm) showing a natural scene printed in turquoise.

Soft cover with stencil cut out letters, sewn, 20,5 x 15 cm, 60 not numbered pages, numbered/28, n.p. 2024
